Repair Kit
This is one thing that you don’t want to leave home without. While equipment failures occur only infrequently, they do happen. If you have a well thought out repair kit with you, the trip won’t be a total bust.
Here are the items I carry in my kit:
- 50 feet of parachute cord
- A spare piece of bungee cord for my tent poles.
- 20 feet of duck tape
- Pair of boot laces
- 1 piece of leather cord (about the size of a shoe lace in length and diameter)
- A Mini-Leatherman multi-tool
- Two small carabiners
- An extra aluminum sleeve for tent pole repair
